Do you ever feel your training is lacking Fizz and Sparkle? Need some new ideas to freshen things up?

Learn new techniques to liven up your training

" A thoroughly enjoyable course. Although I have been training for a number of years, I have learned many things that I will put into practice. Thank you Alan, excellent course! "

Alan Jones, University of Wales

The Transform Your Training course will teach you how to get information across to people with very different learning styles in a way that keeps them active and involved.

You'll learn new training techniques so that you always have a different idea if something isn't working, and you can be flexible and make informed choices about how you deliver your training.

Get your learners in a receptive state

Most trainers know that some of the people on their courses are less than enthusiastic. They didn't choose to be there, they're not convinced it's the best use of their time. How do you deal with that? How do you turn reluctant " prisoners " into enthusiastic learners? Most Train the Trainer course don't focus on this, but it's essential. You'll learn key ways to get people into a receptive state for learning.

Make your training appeal to all learning styles

People learn in different ways. How can you appeal to all of them? You need to know how to use activities, visual aids, group work, individual reflection and other methods. And you need to know the mistakes to avoid!

Break out of the PowerPoint trap

Ditch the bullet-point slideshows, and learn the right way to use visual aids, whether PowerPoint, flipcharts, DVDs or any other medium. I may even show you how to draw cartoons!

Learn to liven up even the most boring subject matter

Anyone can deliver a dry subject in a dull way. Don't blame the material - your job is to bring it to life, to make it real, accessible, interesting. The course will reveal a range of techniques you can use to liven up the most boring material.

Help people to remember and use what they've learned

How do you make sure that what people learnis transferred back to the workplace? Most of what people learn on training courses is forgotten very soon after they leave. But there are ways to make your material more memorable and to make sure people put what they learn into practice. You'll learn many of them on this course.

" The tools and techniques highlighted in Transform Your Training will help me immensely to be more effective as a trainer. "

John Johnston, NHBC.
